Hope that never fails

Friends, today I want to share a story of a youth named Wilson who was looking for a job…when we face struggles in life….all we can think to rely upon is our beloved ones…but in his case, even his own family stood against him and pricked him every time with their shattering words OH! HE WAS IN MUCH PAIN  :(
One day after assisting a pastor in a prayer meeting, Wilson was returning home on approaching his house, he could hear someone talking in a loud tone, he neared the house to find out that was his elder brother Nelson.
Nelson was a lecturer in a college far away from home. He came home only once a month but every time his presence at home, caused a great trouble to Wilson.
Wilson had completed his studies, but could not get employed for nearly 2 years, despite the best of his efforts to find one. Yet, Wilson surrendering his whole future into the hands of God, kept waiting patiently for God to work a miracle and grant him a job.
However the family members of Wilson were not as patient as he was. His father quite often indirectly hurled words like these at him, “ anyone after a particular age should have the responsibility to stand on his own legs…” His brother Nelson, on the other hand confronted him directly. He would say, “hey wilson! don’t go around the city carrying a bible in your hands. you are wasting your time and future instead of finding a job for yourself. be responsible ! search for some jobs. don’t give lame excuses like, ‘ salary is not enough’, ‘holidays are not sufficient’ and keep wasting your years going for prayer meetings alone”. his sister wilma added fuel to the fire by saying, “ how is that you are not able to find a job when all my friend’s brothers are placed in reputed companies? “
However, Wilson’s church pastor understood Wilson’s faith in God and also his feelings. So he used to take Wilson along with him whenever he went out to conduct meetings. Besides, fervently praying for Wilson’s future he also enthused him with words of courage and comfort.
Wilson entered home. “hmm !! here comes my unemployed and irresponsible brother, instead of roaming around the city, can you not use that time productively to send your application to a few companies? I am tired of advising you !! “Nelson shouted, then he got up from his chair and walked out quite irritated
Wilson’s countenance shrunk before everyone, his mom came to him and said, “Son, I heard from your brother that there is a computer course which if you study for 6 months and complete it, you will easily find a job “
Next day, except Wilson, everyone else at home sat down, discussed, took counsel and decided to send him to the neighboring city to make him study that course.
Wilson’s heart was broken, he had already studied that course suggested by his brother, as part of his graduation and post graduation studies. He even had scored good marks, yet Wilson was not in a position to explain this to his people. So Wilson maintained silence.
Nelson planned to return the following week and take Wilson along with him to register him in that course. Wilson’s dad was doing what he could, to raise funds to pay for the course. Even then Wilson was struggling unable to explain to them that the course was unnecessary.
That night passed normally for others, but for Wilson, his heart was so heavy that he could not sleep.
He was moved to tears over the thought that there was no one to understand him. A train sped past close his house and its noise pierced through the silence found at night. Wilson knew that it was 12.00 midnight. He got up and knelt down beside his bed. With tears trickling down his cheeks, he poured out his heart to God and fell asleep even while in the posture of praying.
The next morning, Wilson opened the bible for his daily morning meditation and read the portion for the day. “ I WAITED PATIENTLY FOR THE LORD AND HE INCLINED TO ME AND HEARD MY CRY
Morning passed away and noon came. “sir !!post for you” the vibrant voice of a postman came from outside the door.
Casually Wilson went to receive the mail addressed to him. Turning it upside and down HE SHOUTED BUBBLING WITH JOY. “PRAISE THE LORD !! HE HAS HEARD MY CRY “
It was an appointment order asking Wilson to join a bank where he had gone for an interview 3 months earlier.
THE HORNS OF THE RIGHTEOUS WILL BE LIFTED UP
Amen, this is how the faith of Wilson… that the Lord will provide him with the right job, was rewarded. His patient waiting for the Lord’s will to be done, was the sole reason that fetch him his desired job.
When his whole family cursed him and said hurting words to him…he never replied them back cruelly neither did he shout at them…but he endured everything with love and tears.
HE TRUSTED THE LORD TO WORK FOR HIM.
HIS TEARS MELTED THE HEART OF GOD AND HE HONORED HIM IN FRONT OF HIS FAMILY AND HIS HORN WAS LIFTED.
Amazing grace of our Almighty Father,
God loves you, Shalom :)
